The regional Workshop 2021: “Enhancing ASEAN Human Capital in Health”, organized by the PHAD, will be scheduled in early October 2021 in Hanoi, under the sponsorship of the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi.
The program is designed for a four-day workshop in Hanoi around October 2021, the workshop program aims to provide necessary knowledge and skills to approximately 80 young members, ages 18-35, working in health-related fields from ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste, thereby creating practical solutions to overcome hindrances in healthcare services.
Throughout the four-day interactive events, participants will have opportunities to share challenges in the area of public health and exchange practices from USG Alumni, U.S. and ASEAN business and civic leaders, and other young leaders from the ASEAN region and Timor-Leste.
As Vietnam becomes more globally integrated, internationally collaborative, and committed to environmental sustainability, the Workshop results will contribute to enhancing ASEAN human capital in health for economic development, strengthening the U.S.-ASEAN partnership, and increasing its capabilities to address epidemic and endemic diseases and other public health threats in ASEAN.
